Jamie and I really enjoyed the day yesterday. You and Ken did a fantastic job and succeeded in making it look flawless and simple! Well done!
It was really great to be part of it all – it was quite exciting watching our chosen winners getting their awards and putting faces to names. It was good to chat to people afterwards too – there was a lot of interest in the mentoring which was great. You and Karen are a brilliant advertisement for it. You two are a great pair!
So all in all – a great day! Please pass on my thanks and congratulations!
Wendy French, Winner of Netmums Work from Home Award
The event yesterday was fab and of course made all the more brilliant because I won my category! Thank you so much for giving me this fantastic opportunity. I haven’t yet managed to contact the Girlie Gardening Team to find out more and see how to best move forward on this but have left a message for them. I am buzzing with other ideas which I intend to develop as ideally I would like to have some web-based businesses.
Jane Hopkins, Winner of The OPen University Skills Award
Thanks Paula, great day yesterday – you should be very proud!
Nigel Le Page, The Helen O' Grady
It was firstly, a great pleasure to meet you at last, and Ken also; you have both achieved so much in such a short space of time - congratulations! I realise just how much time and effort must have gone into you reaching this stage of development of your company, as ideas are great but implementing them through hard work is vital!
I was delighted Helen O'Grady Drama Academy had the opportunity to be a part of your first Awards event and it is certainly worth discussing 2010, at the right time. The award winners were so excited about being able to launch their own businesses from early 2010, and I am certain we have made excellent choices. Their 'story' will be a most interesting one to follow over the coming months.
The whole afternoon was exhilarating for those in attendance!
Abbe Martin, Winner of The Helen O' Grady Special Award

Well done on the awards. They went really well and compare favourably with ones we've been to before. We didn't win, but I think those that did were really deserving and were sound competition. Your ceremony were really well thought out.

Claire Robinson, Prior Analytics, Finalist in The Remote Employer Award
Well done and a huge thank you for the splendid awards ceremony yesterday. It's quite astonishing to think that you have managed to get an event of this scale off the ground in such a short timescale along with the sponsorship and prizes.
The venue was simply beautiful. The speakers were very motivational, especially Karen who really is in a league of her own. I nearly cried myself when one of the girls won the franchise - she was simply astonished and over the moon. I spoke to her in the lobby to say 'well done' and she said that she was convinced she was going to wake up today and think she'd dreamt it all. She was beaming from ear to ear and jumping up and down. How great is that?
Once again, thanks to everyone involved - make sure you have a treat at the weekend, you deserve it!
Karen Reyburn, Winner of The Home Worker Award
